We are so proud of Paola Mariselli, who was part of the AMPS institute retreat at Broward County in 2006. She has achieved amazing things since then, such as graduating from Harvard University with a master’s degree in Computer Science and becoming the Head of Product Design at Bumble, one of the most popular dating apps in the world. Paola is responsible for leading product strategy, advocating for design excellence, and supporting a global design team to craft end-to-end experiences for the core product, Bumble Date. She combines her business acumen, user experience skills, and technical knowledge to create digital products that address users’ needs, help the company’s business goals, and have a well-engineered design. She went on to work as a project manager and user experience designer for Credit Suisse on Wall Street, where she began to take more interest in the technical side of design. “I found myself interacting a lot with engineers and traders, figuring out the logic behind what we were building, mocking up specs, assessing technical feasibility, and even running usability tests,” Mariselli said. “I didn’t have all that terminology back then, but I knew I really enjoyed those aspects of my job. They were a little more multidisciplinary and challenged me in different ways.” ….
